BIO
For more than 20 years Dr. Gisela Diaz-Monroig has been licensed in both Florida and Ohio the state in which she received her fellowship in neonatology at the Metro Health Medical Center at Case Western University in Cleveland. She then went on to work in the prestigious pediatric and neonatology departments at St. Elizabeth Hospital and Mt. Sinai Medical Center, also in Ohio.
Dr. Diaz-Monroig’s desire to create an environment that is nurturing, comforting and practical for her tiny patients and their families has led her to write and research many articles on the respiratory health and lung function of pre-term babies. Her articles on Pediatric Flexible Bronchoscopy, Bronchoalveolar Lavage in Premature Infants, and Non-Bronchoscopic Technique of Bronchoalveolar Lavage in Mechanically Ventilated Premature Infants have been published in the American Journal of Asthma and Allergy for Pediatricians and The Journal of Bronchology.
